The Chapel of Saint-Roch
The church was built in neo-Gothic style in 1869-1870.The main attractions:- the beautiful wooden high altar imitating the high altar of the basilica above:- the risen Christ with the cross in his hand- the statues of St. Peter and St. Paul, the statue of St. Michael that stood in the castle chapel, and a deacon.- The burial of Christ, the Virgin and St. John* in the choir: - the wooden statue of the Virgin, dressed as a queen, like her son Jesus, king of the universe* inside:- very beautiful stained-glass windows, the 2 rose windows of the sacristy and the rood screen- the stained-glass windows in the nave that show the transition from ash to fire (expressing the resurrection)- the small polychrome altar and lectern, made by Jean William in 1981, representing the patrons of the church and the life of Mirwart- the pulpit where the good shepherd is sculpted.(M.
