La Chapelle de la Bonne Dame et sa source

A 19th century construction housing the statue of Saint Ode near the spring of the Bonne Dame. ?Sainte-Ode? is also the name of a nun vowed to silence, who continues to protect the eyes of the inhabitants, of all those who remember her and invoke her intercession when they pay a visit to the source of the Bonne Dame. Legende of the Bonne Dame, known as the ?Bonne Madame?: Saint Ode, founder of the church of Amay (in the diocese of Liège) came from a well-off and influential family, and died before 634. Her name only appears from the 11th century on. Her feast is the 23rd of October, while that of Saint Aude, virgin from the 6th century, is honored at Saint Genevieve?s abbey in Paris.
