Boulaie du Rouge-Poncé
The Boulaie du Rouge Poncé is the oldest state owned natural preserve in the Walloon region. This status was granted as early as 1969 in order to preserve the only place in the Walloon region where you can enjoy on such a scale the surprising landscape of forest of young birch on peat soil. Typical fauna and flora of the Ardenne can also be found there. The site is located around 550 meters high (1500 ft) and is part of the forest plateau of Freyr, a few miles north east of the town of Saint-Hubert.
