Plaque reminding us that this house served as a medical dressing-station of Bure
From 3 January 1945, this house served as the headquarters and first aid post of the 13th (British parachute) Battalion until the end of the Battle of Bure. During this period it was severely damaged. In the 1970s, a very important ceremony took place during a pilgrimage. The Noël family house was "blessed" and named "House of Pegasus" in memory of those who lived and died there during those fateful days in January 1945. There is a commemorative plaque on the front of the house, and the house still receives the 13th Battalion every year during the pilgrimage.(Source: www.tellin.be)
