Croix Brognard

This ashlar cross in front of the Spa Golf Club was placed in memory of Sir Pier Brognard de Spa, a member of the Court of Justice, who was murdered here in 1683. His murderer boasted of his crime under the influence of alcohol, and he was subjected to the ordeal of the wheel and spread.
