Fagne de Malchamps

The Fagne de Malchamps is a high plateau in the Ardennes made up of moorland, peat bogs and forests. It lies around 4 km south-east of the centre of Spa along the Route Nationale 62 to Francorchamps. Listed as a site of great biological interest, the fagne is also mainly part of the municipality of Spa, but also of the municipalities of Stoumont and Stavelot. It is bordered to the south by the ancient Vecquée road. Its subsoil contains the mineral waters of Spa, which are exploited by the Spadel company.
