Wellington and Marie-Henriette Springs

The Wellington spring is one of the two springs of the Spa waters, located on the territory of Jalhay. Tapped in 1908-1909, it was given this name to commemorate the stay in Spa in 1818 of the Iron Duke, Victor of Waterloo, and also in the hope of attracting English customers. The "Marie-Henriette" spring was named after the Belgian queen. Slightly sparkling, it is marketed under this name by the company Spa-Monopole. The Pouhons de Nivezé have been of interest since the beginning of the 18th century. The springs of Nivezé have provided the Spa thermal baths with excellent quality ferruginous water.
