Hôtel Britannique

This large building houses a boarding school for boys. The former British Grand Hotel where, in 1883, Leopold I concluded peace with the King of the Netherlands, putting an end to the troubled period that had followed our independence. During the First World War, Kaiser Willem 2 set up his headquarters here.
