Marie Howet Museum Area
The Libramont Tourist Office has taken up residence in a place steeped in history and creativity: the home of Marie Howet, a multi-faceted painter.
This unique place houses a permanent exhibition dedicated to the artist, where a selection of her works retraces her rich and varied career. Visitors can enter during office opening hours to discover the world of this great Belgian artist.
Around the house, outdoor installations by local artists enhance this emblematic site, paying tribute to the work of Marie Howet. A garden, inspired by her travels in Ireland and the Mediterranean, is accessible all year round, offering visitors a space for contemplation and relaxation. The picnic area is open to all.
To extend the experience, a 7km walk starting from the Tourist Office invites visitors to explore the link between Marie Howet's work and that of other local artists, creating an artistic dialogue across the Libramont landscape.
